Biography:

  • MD and PhD in Biophysics. Full Professor of Parasitology at Rio de Janeiro Federal Univesity.
  • Member of the Brazilian Academy of Sciences, the Brazilian National Academy of Medicine and the World Academy of Sciences (TWAS).
  • Member of several national and international societies.
  • Author of around 600 articles published in international journals.
