Overview
Aminoacid-functionalized Perylene Diimides (PDI) are organic molecules with remarkable photophysical properties that find application in various fields. They are composed of two perylene diimides (PDI) connected by an aminoacid moiety. This combination enables the material to absorb light and transfer electrons, allowing it to be used in light-emitting diodes, solar cells and non-linear optics. Additionally, the aminoacid functionality allows the material to be easily functionalized with various biomolecules. This makes it an interesting platform for the design of bioelectronic and optoelectronic technologies.
