Overview
Protein structure databases are online repositories of information pertaining to the three-dimensional structures of proteins. They are an important resource for scientists and researchers, allowing them to access and analyze the information within them for a variety of biomedical and biotechnology applications. Structural data is essential for understanding the biological functions of proteins, as well as for developing new pharmaceuticals and other treatments for diseases. The information contained in these databases can be used for protein engineering, drug design, and the development of vaccines and other therapeutics. Protein structure databases are an invaluable tool for increasing our understanding of proteins and allowing us to develop treatments that can improve human health.
