Chemotherapy Resistance

Chemotherapy resistance is a term used to describe the diminished effectiveness of chemotherapy drugs, which are used to treat cancer. Some cancer cells become resistant to the effects of chemotherapy drugs and can continue to survive and multiply even after being exposed to these drugs. Understanding the mechanisms of chemotherapy resistance is an important area of research in cancer treatments, as it helps clinicians to better select and tailor chemotherapy treatments for cancer patients and improve their outcomes. Research has also been conducted to develop new types of chemotherapy drugs that can be used to combat chemotherapy resistance.
