Step-by-Step Submission Process
Follow these steps for a smooth submission experience using Manuscript Zone (Method 1):
Register or Login
Create a free author account at Manuscript Zone or login with existing credentials. Account creation takes less than 2 minutes.
Select Journal
Choose "Journal of Big Data Research (JBR)" from the journal dropdown menu. Ensure you're submitting to the correct journal to avoid processing delays.
Enter Manuscript Details
Provide article title, abstract (250-300 words), 4-6 keywords, article type, and suggested reviewers (optional but encouraged).
Add Co-Authors
Enter all author names, affiliations, email addresses, and ORCID IDs. Designate corresponding author and confirm all authors' contributions.
Upload Files
Upload main manuscript, figures, tables, supplementary materials, and cover letter. System accepts Word, PDF, LaTeX, and image formats.
Declarations & Submit
Complete ethical declarations, funding information, conflicts of interest, and data availability statements. Review and submit your manuscript.
What Happens After Submission?
Understanding the post-submission workflow helps authors know what to expect during peer review and publication:
Initial Acknowledgment
You'll receive an automated email confirming manuscript receipt with a unique manuscript ID. Use this ID for all future correspondence. The editorial office reviews your submission for completeness and scope alignment.
Editor Assignment
An associate editor from our editorial board is assigned based on research domain expertise. The editor performs initial quality assessment and determines suitability for peer review.
Reviewer Invitation
The editor invites 2-3 expert reviewers with relevant expertise in big data, machine learning, or your specific research area. Reviewers are selected based on publication history, technical expertise, and absence of conflicts of interest.
Peer Review Period
Reviewers evaluate your manuscript for originality, methodology, significance, and clarity. JBR uses Single-Blind review (reviewers anonymous to authors) as standard, with Double-Blind available upon request. Average review time: 3-5 weeks.
Editorial Decision
Based on reviewer recommendations, the editor makes one of four decisions: Accept, Minor Revisions, Major Revisions, or Reject. You'll receive detailed feedback and revision instructions if applicable.
Publication (After Acceptance)
Once accepted and APC payment confirmed, your manuscript enters production. Articles are published online within 2-3 days with a DOI, making them immediately citable and accessible worldwide.
