The journal covers clinical, translational and applied research. Interdisciplinary work is considered when its primary contribution remains anchored in dental science or implantology.

Clinical and translational relevance
Laboratory, biomechanical, preclinical and animal studies are considered when their methods are reproducible and they directly inform clinical practice, device safety, implant stability, tissue response or patient outcomes.

A scope decision starts with the manuscript's central contribution, rather than a single method, material or clinical setting.
A manuscript is likely to fit when it
- States a clear dental, oral-health or implant relevance.
- Addresses dental outcomes, implant performance or oral health improvement.
- Uses methods and outcome measures appropriate to the research question.
- Explains the clinical, scientific or translational applicability of its findings.
Scope boundary
Studies that are purely clinical pharmacotherapy without a dental or implant contribution, or biological research without oral-health relevance, are outside the journal's scope.
Cross-disciplinary work should make its central dental or implant contribution clear.
