How Themes Are Selected
IJAN special issue themes are selected based on clinical urgency, emerging evidence, and community input. Themes may focus on perioperative safety, pain management innovation, or new monitoring technologies. As new proposals are approved, the theme list is updated.
Authors can propose new themes by emailing a short concept note to [email protected]. Accepted proposals are announced to the community with guidance for contributors.
Choosing The Right Theme
Select the theme that best matches your study design and clinical outcomes. Manuscripts that do not align with a specific theme may be considered for regular issues to ensure appropriate peer review and reader targeting.
We encourage authors to include a brief note in the cover letter describing how the work contributes to the theme and why it is important for perioperative practice.
