Biography
Gianfranco Peluso is affiliated with the University of Health Sciences, Italy, where his research spans immunology, reproductive biology, and metabolic health. His early work focused on transglutaminase-catalyzed processes in immune regulation and reproductive physiology, including studies on immunosuppressive proteins in seminal plasma, T-lymphocyte subsets in autoimmune conditions, and the role of transglutaminase in cell proliferation and transformation. He has also contributed to cancer biomarker research and dermatological immunology. His most-cited publication, "Metabolic syndrome, Mediterranean diet, and polyphenols: Evidence and perspectives" (2018), with 160 citations, reflects his expanded focus on nutritional interventions and polyphenol-based approaches to metabolic disorders.
