Dr. SukJin Kim is a prominent scientist and the Head of the R&I Center at COSMAX BTI, a global leader in cosmetic research and development. His expertise lies at the intersection of biomaterials science, drug delivery systems, and cosmetic engineering. Dr. Kim's research focuses on designing and fabricating advanced materials, such as functional hydrogels and micro/nanoparticles, for innovative skincare and dermatological applications. He has a strong background in developing platforms for the controlled release of active ingredients and engineering tissues, particularly for skin regeneration. Before his leadership role in the cosmetic industry, he made significant contributions in academic research at the Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KIST). Dr. Kim's work is characterized by a commitment to translating cutting-edge scientific discoveries into effective cosmetic and therapeutic products, evidenced by his extensive portfolio of high-impact publications and patents.
