Biography
Tianbao Yang is affiliated with PharmaBlock Sciences, China, and has contributed significantly to postharvest biology and plant stress physiology research. From 2009 to 2014, Yang served as a Research Scientist at the USDA ARS Food Quality Laboratory, where research focused on calcium regulation in horticultural crops, microgreens quality, and stress responses in tomato fruit. Yang's most-cited publication, "Preharvest UVB Application Increases Glucosinolate Contents and Enhances Postharvest Quality of Broccoli Microgreens" (2021), has been cited 26 times and exemplifies work on pre-harvest treatments to enhance nutritional quality and shelf-life. Additional research has examined calcium/calmodulin-regulated gene families and their roles in fruit development, senescence delay, and responses to abiotic and biotic stresses in vegetable crops.
