Call for Papers
Journal of Thyroid Cancer welcomes submissions throughout the year from researchers, clinicians and multidisciplinary teams working across thyroid oncology. Regular submissions are accepted throughout the year.
01 · Invitation
Work the journal is looking for
JTC publishes across the whole course of thyroid carcinoma — biology, diagnosis, treatment and outcomes — and across the disciplines that manage it. A manuscript is welcome in any of the journal’s core research areas.
Regular submissions are assessed throughout the year under the criteria set out in the editorial policies.
02 · Priorities
Where the journal would particularly welcome work
These are areas where the editors see questions the field has not settled, and where a single-disease journal can usefully bring the evidence together. They are an invitation, not a restriction: everything in the aims and scope is welcome.
Radioiodine-refractory disease
How refractoriness is defined in practice, when it is recognized, and what follows — including the point at which systemic therapy is started and on what evidence.
Molecular testing of indeterminate nodules
Performance of classifiers in real practice rather than in the validation cohort, and what a result actually changes in the operating decision.
Active surveillance of low-risk disease
Selection, protocols, what triggers intervention, and what patients experience while under surveillance.
High-grade and anaplastic disease
Rapid diagnostic pathways, molecular testing at presentation, and multimodal management of tumors where time is the constraint.
Outcomes beyond oncologic control
Endocrine consequences, quality of life, fertility and the long follow-up that a favorable cancer outcome does not end.
Overdiagnosis and health services
Incidence, practice variation, access and the systems that determine who is diagnosed and treated, and how.
03 · Article types
What the journal accepts
The table lists the four standard article types with confirmed manuscript-length guidance. Case reports, case series, editorials, and commentaries are editorial-agreement types; authors should confirm the manuscript format, length, and applicable charge with the editorial office before submission.

04 · Submitting
How to submit
All submissions undergo initial editorial screening. Manuscripts that meet the journal's scope and minimum requirements proceed to independent peer review. Single-blind by default; double-blind review is available on request.
